Photo of the day: At the top of the Clear Creek Trail, there is a spot called "Five Valleys View." I think maybe I've got them labeled properly in this photo, but don't ask me to name 'em all - I'm nowhere near good enough at geography for that. We shared our rest stop with a little bluebelly (western fence lizard) who didn't seem in the least bothered or impressed by our presence. A crowd favorite! Glad you liked it!Photo of the day: Hiking isn't for everyone, and it's kind of new to me, too. I've been surprised to find that hiking in Nevada brings so many pleasant little surprises. In areas that can be so dry, there is a lot of unexpected beauty. Yesterday, on a hike to the "Five Valleys View" on the Clear Creek Trail starting in Spooner Summit, we enjoyed a lot of spring wildflowers, including these pretty little Indian Paintbrushes, beautifully illuminated in the early morning light. I am not a bicyclist, but if I was I think this might be the first trail I took - it looks awesome for riders!
